Emma Braddock: A female assassin that seems like the main character at first but dies brutally in the first few minutes.

Camazotz: A giant bat who is upset that everyone is blaming bats for the coronavirus.

His motive is revenge for the bat population decimated during the initial pandemic. He plans to create a super-COVID by consuming Zhao and then spreading it.

Possum fights Camazotz on and outside the train. Camazotz reveals the train is carrying explosives destined for the Chinese embassy. Possum eventually kills Camazotz by using his axe and a police robot. The train crashes near a station.

In the epilogue, Possum talks to Mendelsohn, revealing the bizarre nature of the threat. Possum then meets his estranged son, Travis Scott, and his mother, Cheryl. He has a brief, emotional interaction with his son, gives him a weapon as a symbolic gesture, and then leaves. The film ends with Possum committing suicide in a public toilet while stock footage of people enjoying the end of lockdowns plays.
