You couldn't imagine the smell.
The languid, offensive stench of raw, processed meat thrown out onto the street en masse; if you saw it, you'd have thought that it was to lure something into the gutter. Shiny, pink mounds of blood and gristle. The truth of the matter was much worse: it was to keep things away from the doors.
Night after night, hordes of bloodthirsty maniacs lurk the streets in search of living prey. Their warped visages and unrelenting bloodlust blur the line between man and beast. The terrified citizens think littering the sidewalk with raw chicken breasts that they panic bought from the stores will keep these men away.
What they forget is that this is Mantong, where these men live by only one rule:
"FLESH IS FATE".
And sadly for them, that flesh doesn't come from the supermarket.
A brutal killer, consumed by vengeance, embarks on a violent quest to hunt down the cannibalistic gang that devoured his girlfriend. Along the way, he is aided by a parasitic entity that grants him enhanced power at the cost of committing increasingly heinous acts.
Calcium blends the action-horror elements of 90s/early 2000s films like Blade, Hellboy, and Van Helsing (where people who look like they belong in a fetish club mercilessly tear through crazy monsters) with the gritty realism of Asian horror and thrillers such as I Saw the Devil, Oldboy, The Raid: Redemption, and Ichi the Killer.
The story structure and dialogue are also heavily inspired by the sinister, edgy tone of violent third person shooters from the Xbox-360/Playstation 3 piss-filter era like Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days, Max Payne 3, Saints Row 2 and Hitman: Absolution. I'd like to reference the comics and manga I was inspired by, but I'd rather let the reader discover that for themselves when the project is released.
Driven by vengeance and consumed by darkness, Kitty is a relentless force of destruction, fueled by a parasite's twisted power and a burning desire to eradicate the Black Dog Triad.

Susu, a towering figure with a fearsome exterior, was once a slave of the Black Dog Triad. Freed by the enigmatic Kitty, Susu has sworn unwavering loyalty to her savior. Despite her formidable size and cannibalistic nature, she harbors a kind heart, a stark contrast to her imposing presence. Her refusal to consume human flesh reflects a deep-seated aversion to such acts, demonstrating a moral compass amidst her formidable power.

A formidable martial arts master, Strix relishes in inflicting pain and humiliation upon his adversaries. As the Black Dog leader's trusted enforcer, he finds immense satisfaction in enabling Kitty's destructive rampage to annihilate their mutual foes. While his loyalty is unwavering, it is not without its boundaries; he deems betrayal of the Black Dogs' code of brotherhood as an unforgivable act, punishable by death.

Luxxx is the cunning and captivating leader of the Mantong City Dolls, a band of mutated human experiments discarded by the Black Dog Triad. Despite their shortcomings, Luxxx's unwavering resolve and charismatic leadership inspire them to risk their lives in a relentless guerrilla war against their former creators. However, Luxxx's vapid vices hinder her judgment, a weakness that could prove fatal to her and her followers.

Mantong's most savage gang leader. His cannibal cartel trembles under his brutal reign, offering him tribute or facing their own grim end. Unchecked by his own savagery, Dogmaster dreams of ruling Mantong, blind to the forces that loom in the shadows, far surpassing his bloodthirsty dominion.
